CHRISTMAS!! The whole world celebrates this one and only special event!
Here in Malaysia, Christmas is celebrated on December 25th. Few weeks before Christmas, you can see beautiful and creative decorations being placed at shops and houses to create a perfect atmosphere for the season itself. My sisters and I would be helping my mum by cleaning our house and baking cookies. Between the days, my family and I would go out shopping for clothes and other things too. On the night of December 24th which is the Christmas Eve, my family and I would prepare ourselves for the Christmas Eve mass at 9p.m. Early in the morning of 25th December, everyone wakes up early, puts on their best dress and get ourselves ready to receive visitors. Then, in the later part of the day, it is our turn to visit our relatives and friends. And that is how I will end my first day of Christmas, here in Malaysia with my family.
Somewhere in other parts of the world, Christmas is celebrated in a different way.
In Bangladesh however, Christmas is often referred to as "Bara Din", which means "Big Day". Christian village men would cut down scores of banana trees and replant them in pairs along the paths to churches and outside their homes. They would then bend over the huge leaves of banana trees to form an arch, they would then make small holes in the bamboo poles, fill them with oil and tie them across the arches. When tho oil is lit, the way to the church is lit up bright enough for all to see. Back in one of their cities, Dhaka, no matter how this festival of love and remembrane is celebrated, it remains a time of giving, forgiving and receiving the love that is shed by community members and the LOVE OF GOD. For the rest of the day, family and friends visit each other, going back and forth from home to home. By the end of Bara Din,everyone in Bangladesh has a full stomach and a full spirit, after spending the day with loved ones.
If given a chance, I would love to spend one of my Christmas in other parts of the world to experience their culture of Christmas. Moreover, it will teach me to appreciate the culture that I have and practiced, here in Malaysia and to remind me that each country has their own unique way of celebrating and creating the perfect atmosphere for Christmas!

The Path I Went Through In The Making of My OWN Blog...
11.oo a.m! We went out early from class since we had no Additional Maths class on today. Everybody went down as soon as Lin Li, the class monitor, gave us the instruction to do so. Upon entering the computer lab, Mdm. Flowrese, our English teacher briefed us on the steps we should take to create our own blog. Since the school has limited number of computers, everyone was sharing a computer with two or three friends to get the task done quickly. As for me, I shared it with a kind friend of mine, Jody, who let me create my blog first. I was quite excited when I started filling in my email address, a title for my blog, my blog's URL, choosing from the free blog templates and finally to have the task done! Feb 2, 2010, I had created my own account in blogspot.com. ^_* We had great laughter choosing the best title for my blog.=)) Everything had gone on well for mine and it was Jody's turn to create her own blog. We faced frustration when the Internet connection went slow and the silence was disrupted when the other students were also facing the same problem and everybody started complaining about it. Anyway, Jody soon managed to get her own account ready. We even had enough time to lend the computer to Wan Jing to let her create her own account too. Right before the class ended, everybody in the class had their own blog account. We were dismissed after we were given the permission by Mdm.Flowrese.
